WHAT WE DO

WorkLink Employment Society is a non-profit and registered charity that has provided government-sponsored employment services to the Westshore and Sooke to Port Renfrew communities since 1978. The organization is funded through federal and provincial government initiatives and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors chosen from community leaders. WorkLink is a proud Economic Development Task Force member and leads economic development initiatives, including the Port Renfrew Visitor Information Centre.

Economic Development

In 2020, WorkLink formed and took the lead on the Economic Development Task Force, bringing together representatives from the Provincial Government, the Pacheedaht First Nation, the Port Renfrew Chamber of Commerce, and the Port Renfrew Community Association. This Task Force was established to spearhead targeted initiatives, supported by various third-party funding sources, with a primary focus on creating the Port Renfrew Visitor Centre and related projects.
